Andrew Rees & Sons Butchers was established by Andrew in 1988, beginning as a traditional family butcher in the market town of Narberth in Pembrokeshire. Our High Street shop remains in the same location today, continuing to uphold the traditional values we were founded on while providing the local community with high quality, local sourced meat and produce.

Over the past couple of decades, the business has grown significantly. In 2013, the company expanded by opening our Catering and Wholesale unit in West Wales Business Park, a stone’s throw away from the High Street shop, where we supply to over 300 businesses with the highest quality food and products.

The year 2013 also marked the year we were awarded the contract to provide our meat products to all schools and authority owned residential homes in Pembrokeshire. We were then awarded the contract to provide our meat offering to Ceredigion schools and residential homes 2 years later.

In 2021, Andrew’s son Tom became Managing Director, marking the next chapter in the company. Under Tom’s leadership, the business has continued to invest in its people, facilities and future while maintaining the personal touch and community focus that our customers have come to know and value.

In 2025, refurbishment works were carried out at the Catering and Wholesale site which included expanding into an additional unit with state-of-the-art butchery department, new office space, staff room and meeting room as well as increasing storage space for our chilled, frozen and dried goods to improve workflow and enhanced food safety. This has also allowed us to increase our wholesale offering to our trade customers.
